Staking
Register your wallet once, keep your $MASON where it is, and share half of the treasury every day, paid in ETH.
How it works
- On Account, sign the message
Mason staking: register <your wallet>with your wallet. It is a signature, not a transaction: nothing moves and nothing is locked. - Every day the network records the
$MASONbalance of each registered wallet. - Your counted stake is the smaller of your last two daily balances. Tokens bought just before a run do not count until they have been held through a full day.
- At each daily run, the staker half of the treasury is shared pro rata to counted stake. Once your share reaches $1, it is sent to your wallet in ETH.
To stop, sell or move your tokens: your counted stake follows your balance.
The math
your_share = (treasury_today x 0.5) x (your_counted_stake / total_counted_stake)
Example: the treasury collects $2,000 in a day. Stakers share $1,000. If you hold 1% of all counted stake, you receive $10 that day, in ETH.
Staking as a worker
If a worker's payout wallet has counted stake, every job it serves pays 80% instead of 70%. The extra 10% comes out of the network margin.
Risks
Rewards follow usage. If the network serves fewer jobs, the treasury and the payouts shrink. The token price can go down. Staking is not a deposit and not insured.
